WSE (Work & Social Economy) quality registration
Did you know that BOMA Academy is recognised as a service provider with a quality registration from the Flemish government (WSE)?
This means that your private sector company can receive financial support for training with us through the VOV (Flemish Training Leave) system.
Employees who work at least 50% in the private sector in Flanders are entitled to do certain training courses. For this, they may be absent from work, yet retain their pay. The employer is then reimbursed for the hours taken (up to a certain limit) by the Department of Work and Social Economy of the Flemish Government.

OCS: Training centre for Cleaning
In terms of training and guidance, OCS aims to play an active, supportive role. Rapidly evolving regulations and large-scale market launches of innovative products call for thorough, objective information. Therefore, every year, we invest significant amounts in training and mentoring staff to work in the sector. (Joint Committee 121)
The course at BOMA that qualifies for training aid is the 25-hour training for cleaning staff. This consists of:
- 19 hours on cleaning methods
- 4 hours on ergonomics
- 2 hours of trade union training
- The OCS support includes reimbursement of the trainee's hourly wages per training hour.
