Cleaning cold stores and freezers

You need to be able to store your fish in a cool place. Large chiller or freezer sections are often used for this purpose. These sure come in handy, though the cold temperatures don't exactly make it easy to clean them. Fortunately, with the right equipment, this need not be a problem.

If possible (where the temperature is above freezing), always rinse with plenty of water to disinfect with optimal effect
Remember to also clean and disinfect the rubber seals
Always choose a non-acid disinfectant, and avoid damaged rubber
