The path to sustainable cleaning: BOMA's new eco-rating changes the game
Sustainability is no longer optional, it's a collective responsibility. At BOMA, our mission is not only to simplify cleaning, but also to make sustainable choices accessible to everyone. Our new Eco-Rating is a significant step in this direction. Lies Marijnissen, Sustainability Manager
With the launch of the Eco-Rating system, BOMA, a pioneer in the field of cleaning and hygiene, is paving the way for a more sustainable cleaning industry. This innovative rating not only sets a new standard for sustainability, but also serves as a practical tool for making informed decisions within the sector.
Simplicity in sustainability
Making sustainable decisions can sometimes seem complex. With so many labels and certifications, it's easy to feel overwhelmed. At BOMA, we understand this and make things simpler! Our eco rating, which ranges from A+ to E, offers transparency and clarity about the impact of our products and materials. This makes it easier to gradually improve our range of products.
The power of transparency
The eco score is based on recognized methodological guidelines that assess a product's life cycle. It takes into account the environmental impact as well as the health of cleaning staff. Products designed for a circular economy are rewarded, while harmful or hazardous products receive lower scores. This rating system offers complete transparency to facilitate informed choices. More than 3,000 products and materials are automatically assigned a score.
Contributing to a greener world
BOMA is going one step further by working with its customers to create the BOMA BOS. For every ¿1,000 spent on A+ and A-rated products from BOMA or Greenspeed, one tree is planted in partnership with GO Forest. This allows clients to contribute not only to a cleaner environment but also to restoring nature.
