The main thing to consider with stone floors is whether they are porous or non-porous. For a porous floor, it is best to choose a pore-filling product. This will improve the lifespan of your floor. Work ergonomically to reduce the strain on your body

Place the handle to nose height
Hold the handle by the ball at the top, so your elbow stays in a neutral position
Walk forward in one straight line, moving as close to the mop as possible
Return with a zigzag motion, moving close to the mop. That way, there's no need to bend your back as much, and you can work in a nice upright position.
Do not make angles greater than 45°, and do not mop past your left foot if you are right-handed to spare your back
